M. Passengers in Barnsley are being treated to reduced fares and increased services as Yorkshire Traction retaliates against commercial services from tours giant Shearings.
Traction has introduced the "Athersley Link" as a "cheap fare experiment" with additional white buses charging 30p to Barnsley instead of the usual 45p. The buses chase Shearings on an identical route, which was introduced in April. The experiment will continue "for the forseeable future".
