• The majority of Scottish road transport operators have agreed to pay the cost of the h.g.v. licence fee, the test fee where necessary and the cost of the medical examination. In addition to this total of about £11, employers have indicated their willingness to pay a man for his time during the period of the test, says the Scottish Commercial Motormen's Union.
