IN a new type of end terminal at
cable connector, evolved by ti Chloride Electrical Storage Co., 1_13 Clifton Junction. Manchester, the ei terminal is in the form of a flat vertic lug_ The cable end is attached by tv bolts and nuts, the bolts passing throul holes in the terminal lug.
So as to make the cable ends no interchangeable, the holes in the respe tive logs are drilled at different centrt Two forms of cable end are availab that known as the PSV 1 being for straight take-off, and that known as ti PSV 2 for right-angled take-off.
Some of the advantages claimed f this new arrangement, compared vvi the taper-post design, are that increased robustness, greater rigidit increased contact area and hence le voltage drop and less risk of overheking when current demands are high.
