MR. A. L. NICKERSON, chairman of the Vacuum Oil Co., Ltd., has accepted an important assignment in the head office of the Socony-Vacuum Oil Co., Inc., in New York, and will leave shortly for the United States to take up his new duties. MR. H. W. ROCKE has been appointed managing director of the Vacuum concern, which he joined in 1933. He has heki successively the positions of chief accountant, secretary and director.

A TRADING balance of £61,217 is 1-IL revealed by the full accounts of Brush Electrical Engineering Co., Ltd., for 1945. The comparable figure for

1944 was £252,875. Last year's net profit of £45,447 compares with £136,980 in 1944. The sum of £56.744 is carried forward.
