Cardiff Transport Committee has appointed MR. J. W. DUNNING, traffic manager, as general manager.
MR. PAUL WORTH, works manager of the India Tyre Co., Ltd., is visiting the U.S.A. to study new developments in the tyre industry of that country.
Mit. J. R. EDWARDS has been appointed production manager and Ma. H. J. GRAVES, supply and production equipment manager, of the Austin Motor Co., Ltd.
MR. JOHN CLARKE has joined the publicity department of the Ford Motor Co., Ltd. One of his most important duties will be to assist Ford and Fordson dealers in their local advertising and sales-promotion work.
MR. R. C. Sawa, who represented Henley's Tyre and Rubber Co.. Ltd., in South Wales, before the war, has returned from the Services and has been appointed representative for the counties of Gloucester, Somerset and Wiltshire.
MR. GEORGE DOUGLAS has been appointed transport manager of the United Co-operative Baking Society, in succession to MR. A. PARR. who has retired. Mr. Douglas has been assistant transport manager for the past five years.
London Transport announces that MR. G. J. DICKINS has been appointed acting divisional superintendent, trams and trofieybuses (northern division). Since the formation of the Board in 1933. he has been operating assistant and deputy operating superintendent (country buses and coaches).
On relinquishing his position as controller of light metals in the Ministry of Supply, Ma. C. G. McAuriFFE, B.A., has taken up an appointment as a departmental manager in the sales division of the British Aluminium Co., Ltd. Mr. McAuliffe is located at the company's head offices, Salisbury House, London Wall, London, E.C.2. •
MR. A. L. NICKERSON, chairman of the Vacuum Oil Co., Ltd., has accepted an important assignment in the head office of the Socony-Vacuum Oil Co., Inc., in New York, and will leave shortly for the United States to take up his new duties. MR. H. W. ROCKE has been appointed managing director of the Vacuum concern, which he joined in 1933. He has heki successively the positions of chief accountant, secretary and director.
BRUSH RESULTS ISSUED
A TRADING balance of £61,217 is 1-IL revealed by the full accounts of Brush Electrical Engineering Co., Ltd., for 1945. The comparable figure for
1944 was £252,875. Last year's net profit of £45,447 compares with £136,980 in 1944. The sum of £56.744 is carried forward.
