dominic.perryfarbi.co.uk TFSCO'S SHIFT OF its distribution operation to Stobart Group is continuing with the proposed transfer of the transport and vehicle maintenance business of another DC to the Cumbrian transport giant Around 150 staff — drivers, shunters and planners — at Tesco's DC in Fenny Lock , Milton Keynes, are affected by the move that could see them in red, white and green before Christmas, depending on the outcome of a 30-day consultation that ends on 10 December.
The latest outsourcing comes on the heels of similar moves across Tesco's distribution network, with Stobart increasingly the logistics firm of choice for the supermarket.
A Tesco spokesman adds: "We are constantly reviewing our distribution network to make sure it can provide the service required by the store network and our customers."
