WHALEN/MESSERVY/ EGAN/BARRON/ OWEN/HOPE/BREEDEN Geoffrey Whalen, managing director of Peugeot Talbot Motor Company, will continue as president of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders for a second term on 8 June 1989. Sir Godfrey Messervy. former chairman and
chief-executive of Lucas Industries, will continue to support him as deputy president.
Sir John Egan, chairman and chief-executive of Jaguar Cars, is senior vice-president; Derek Barron, chairman and chief-executive of Ford Motor Company, David Owen, chairman of Rubery Owen Holdings, and Colin Hope, group managing director of T&N, have been elected vicepresidents Miles Breeden, chairman of Wilmot Breeden Holdings, continues as the society's honorary treasurer.
