COACH fare increases introduced by National Travel have been re-cast to cushion the effect for regular coach users.
Now the fare increases will hit the single journey traveller the hardest. Overall, the fares' increase is aimed to increase revenue by 17 per cent.
National Express has altered the relationship between single and return journey fares and limited the previous blanket weekend surcharge to period fares only.
