REVOLUTIONARY short-haul express services are planned by B.M.M.O. Co. Ltd. in an attempt to get the public to abandon their cars for commuting purposes. West Midland Traffic Commissioners have received three applications from the company with this in mind.
They are for the Birmingham-Kidderminster route, Birmingham-Halesowen-Hasbury, and Leominster-Kidderminster.
The Birmingham-Kidderminster service, for example, would have only nine picking-up points compared with 64 on the ordinary service, cutting down journey time by 20 minutes to 47 minutes.
An hourly off-peak and half-hourly peak period service is sought.
