MR. C. B. DICKSEE and PROF. G. E. MuctcLow have been jointly awarded the James Clayton Prize for 1959, drawn from the Clayton Trust Fund, by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. The award to Mr. Dicksee was made for his work on high-speed compression-ignition engines, and that to Prof. Muck low for his research into the propagation of pulses (wave action) in gases, and problems connected with the internalcombustion engine.
