If a proposed general motorway toll is brought in in Austria, West German operators will obviously suffer and it is possible that Bonn will introduce some kind of counter-measures.
Austrian operators are not happy about their government's transport policies either, but for other reasons. They feel that the policies are not
sufficiently comprehensive and tend to concentrate on individual actions such as the imposition of a ban on nightdriving while neglecting the major issues. Verkehrs-Rudschau, 30 May.
