SPEAKERS at the Road Haulage Association's annual conference, to be held at the Royal Bath Hotel, Bournemouth, October 2022, will include Sir Daniel Petit, chairman of the NFC, who will be telling operators how they can persuade their customers that there are dangers in operating on their own-account.
Others to address the conference include Mr H. Urwin, assistant general secretary of TGWU, who will speak on labour relations; Mr E. L. Williams, chairman of the RHA education and training committee, who will be joined by Mr J. Moore, general secretary of URTU, in a discussion on the training scheme for young drivers; Mr N. G. Ellis, a county engineer, an lorry route plans; and Mr M. R. Dunn, of Ford who will look at the advantages of increased maximum weights.
