'THE Dudley depot of British Road Services is to close, and staff and vehicles are to be distributed among four other West Midland bases—Wolverhampton, KingSwinford, Stone (Kidderminster) and Bromford (Birmingham). B.R.S. say that their present premises in Dudley may be affected by subsidence, but they hope to open up .a new branch in the town within a year to 18 months.

In a statement following a protest meeting by Dudley staff, B.R.S. said: "The transfers will be completed by the end of July. The established machinery for joint consultation is being used to the full in dealing with the interests of the staff." Mr. C. N. aristensen, divisional manager, was at the meeting.
