ERBERG off-road trucks are now being sold in the UK through the Volvo truck distributor network.

The Dutch specialist vehicle builder, which uses mainly Volvo components, including cabs and engines, has reached vehicle sales and parts supply agreements with Volvo Trucks (Great Britain) and its 24 distributors.

Under the terms of the three-year contracts Volvo's UK distributors will sell the complete range of Terberg two, three and four-axle trucks, mainly for off-road use, including a four-wheeldrive version which will be type approved.

Volvo's British parts division, based at Warwick, will stock all 'Ferberg parts, including the non-Volvosourced components.

Terberg has had a similar arrangement with the Swiss importer of Volvos since 1983.

Until April last year, (CM, April 13, 1985) the UK concessionaire for the Dutch off-road vehicles was owned and run by Frank Tins&le, the former [Yew UK managing director.

The initial agreement between Volvo GB and Terberg Bensehop was reached last summer, but several months were needed to conclude the separate agreements with all the Volvo distributors.

Two Terbergs, heavy-duty 6x4 models, have already been sold by a Volvo distri butor in Humberside, John Hobb.

Around 40 'lerbergs are currently in service in this country.

Lighter models which currently use the F6 Club of Four cab are soon to be fitted with the new FL6 cab. Heavier models will continue to he equipped with the older F10/12 cab.
