THE proposal by Stoke-on-Trent City Council and eight other local councils to consider setting up a municipal bus undertaking in north Staffordshire has been deferred indefinitely.
The working committee representing the interested parties made this recommendation after the town clerk of Stoke, Mr. H. Taylor, had pointed out the difficulties of raising capital for such a purpose and indicated the high rates of interest.
