Workers' returns will be at the rate of the ordinary single fare plus a half.

A reduction of about 4 per cent. in the mileage run by Halifax Transport Department has been so strongly resented that after an experimental period of three months the town council has decided to reinstate about a third of it. Instead, the transport committee have proposed that id.. be added to the 21-d. and 3d. fares, and to the 4d. rate for three miles.
