• Truck sales for November continued their long-term downward trend, according to the SIVLMT's figures.
A total of 4,360 commercials over 3.5 tonnes were registered-around 400 fewer than October—and the year-to-date totals are down by around 11% compared with 1996. But the light commercial market remains buoyant: with a total of 19,693 vehicles registered in November, most manufacturers have increased their sales volume.
For the year to date, 1997's figures are up by around 10% over 1996. Only the 4x4/utility sector is down, by around 6.8%.
