DROGRESS is being made with the 1 proposal to form a joint municipal passenger-transport board in the counties of Stafford, Cheshire and Salop.
A. special meeting of Stoke-on-Trent City Council is to be held next Tuesday, December 22, to consider the promotion of a Bill in the next session of Parliament for the establishment of a board.
Market Drayton Urban. District Council has approved in principle of the Bill, and has agreed, to the formation of the board, in which the council would have an interest.
The revived proposal for the formation of a similar board in the Manchester area is, as already reported in The Commercial Motor, to be discussed next month.
