LAWRENCE Christensen is tostep down as Sainsbury's supply chain director after 16 months at the troubled supermarket company.
The former Safeway director was brought in last year in a bid to sort out the supermarket chain's stock availability problem.
Christensen will continue as an adviser to Sainsbury's until December 2006; he will be replaced by Matalan's current supply director, Roger Burnley.
