THE 1981 World Truck Symposium and Exhibition is to be held in Detroit, Michigan, from September 24 to 26.
Speakers will include chairman and chief executive of London Transport, Sir Peter Masefield, as well as representatives from the Budd Company, Rockwell International, Schuster Express, Leaseways Transportation, Saunders Truck Leasing, Ryder Truck Rental, Cummins Engine Company, IVECO Trucks and Mack Trucks.
The first day's general session is devoted to the economics of the industry, while the second day's programme is entitled Energy, Lifeblood of the Trucking Industry. The third general session will relate to the Worlds Trucks of the Nineties.
