CONSULTATION processes have been launched by the Employment Secretary, Mr Foot, to wind up the Road Haulage Wages Council. This follows a formal application by the Transport and General Workers, supported by the United Road Transport Union and the General and Municipal Workers.
Operators' associations and trade unions have now been asked for observations on the TGWU's application.
