• "Practical methods of making decisions for fleet repair maintenance and replacement", a paper to have been presented by Mr, R. A. Layton at an Institute of Road Transport Engineers meeting in London this week, has been held over until the Institute's annual conference.
The conference (in Birmingham May 9-11) has as its theme "Inspection, maintenance, repair replacement and training for these skills". Three main papers will be presented, Mr. Layton's, retitled "Problems and solutions in large and small organizations", "Costs and decisions" by Mr. Peter Reed, of Reading University, and "The 1968 Act; its effects and responsibilities" by Mr. J. Lane of the Ministry of Transport.
