• The whole of the share capital of R. Hammond (Transport) Ltd., Wisbech, Cambs, has been bought by Starr Roadways Ltd., head office Bilston, Staffs. The acquired company operates 21 vehicles on A licence on general haulage and will continue under its existing name with Starr director Mr. A. Hotham as chairman and managing director, and Mr. A. E. J. Berry as director and secretary. Mr. Alan Hulse, manager of Starr's King's Lynn office, will also manage the Wisbech depot.
