We have just had the frustrating experience of not being able to move a vehicle because it would not start and the air brakes cannot therefore be taken off without a relatively major job.
The extra safety factor engendered by this arrangement seems to me minimal and I wonder if other operators feel the same.
Can anyone do anything to persuade the manufacturers to drop this extremely aggravating system.
