Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

any of today's incentive bonus schemes concerning hgv drivers "in toto". I have been informed however, that this refers only to drivers hauling goods for profit — and not to hgv drivers employed by• local government and civil engineering firms and transporting materials, tools, equipment, from depots to sites or site to site.

Would you clarify this position?

AThe DoE says that "H.M. Government has not yet decided whether or not to support the EEC proposals on the question of bonus schemes" and it is very diffucult to say, at this stage, which categories of operation might be affected. The EEC measure, too, is only a proposal at present and it is not clear how widely it might be applied
