Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Hull Corporation has accepted tenders for the supply of 12 A.E.C. double-decker chassis costing £890 each, and eight single-decker chassis at £835 each ; six English Electric doubledeck bodies cosEing £720 each, and four single-deck bodies at £470 each; six Brush double-deck bodies at £752 each, and four single-deck bodies at £479 each.

As the result of the Associated Equipment Co., Ltd., offering to reduce its price from 1890 to £870 for each doubledecker chassis, if 30 machines were ordered, it has been decided to purchase that number, insteadof 20. The bodybuilders were unable to reduce prices. The total cost is £45,215.

Capacities of Yorkshire Wagons.

We are asked by the Yorkshire Steam Wagon Co., of Hunslet, Leeds, to point out that the Light-Six wagon, as shown at Olympia, is designed to carry a payload of 10 tons on a flat lorry body, or 9 tons in a three-way tipping body. The exhibit was also equipped with a four-speed transmission. For those requiring a vehicle of larger pay-load capacity the Heavy-Six model is available.
