• A second Bedford TM 4x4 16-tonner has been specially equipped by Welford Truck Bodies of Warley, West Midlands for the Central Electricity Generating Board's cross-country pylon cable installation work in the SouthWestern Region.
Welford used its own design steel/alloy side tipping body with underfloor single ram and chassis subframe.
Loading is by a Pesci P.777/6 demountable hydraulic crane which can lift six tonnes at a 1,8in radius and has a maximum reach of 6m.
