Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

vehicles to come within the proposals of the Transport Bill is now to be 31 tons plated weight instead of 30cwt unladen as previously stated. But as there are many vehicles above 30cwt unladen but below the 31 tons plated weight, what will be their position?

When they have been plated will they fall into the light vehicle category and be tested at local garages, or will they be tested yearly at the MoT testing stations for heavy goods vehicles?

A As far as annual tests are concerned, the

figure of 30cwt unladen will continue to be used for the demarcation line between the existing test scheme—at appointed garages— and the Ministry scheme for all vehicles not now having to undergo tests which comes into operation on the amended date of October 1 for England and Wales and December 1 for Scotland.
