Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

to have his vehicle retested following an initial failure at a government testing station?

AThose vehicles failing on any of the

items set out in the Testers Manual will have to be submitted again for a retest. If the repairs can be carried out quickly enough for the vehicle to be retested on the same day no extra charge will be made.

For this reason it would be an advantage to send a mechanic with a vehicle for test especially as minor repairs would be permitted while a vehicle was undergoing tests providing the flow was not disrupted in the first place.

When repairs take longer a vehicle may still be admitted up to 14 days after failure at the previous test when only the defective parts will be re-examined and a reduced fee levied. But beyond 14 days a full retest at the normal fee would be necessary.
