Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Boxer addition

LEYLAND has added a new model to the Boxer range aimed at those drivers who hold a restricted Class III hgv licence. Plated to 10 tonnes, it is known as the Boxer 984.

When the hgv licence requirement was changed from 3 tons unladen to 7.5 tonnes gross, the Environment Department offered those who regularly drove vehicles weighing under 3 tons unladen but grossing up to around 10 tons the opportunity to continue driving the higher plated vehicle, but on a restricted licence.

Leyland claims that the Boxer 984 offers one of the highest payload capabilities within the framework of the DoE restrictions.

Other Boxer models, the BX1000, 1200 and 1300 versions, have been given an increase in payload/body allowance, depending on wheelbase. Typically, the 3.84m (12ft 7in) wheelbase 8X1300 allowance is increased by nearly 460kg (9cwt).

On the hook

SPONSET ,Ltd of Stanley Estate, Stanley Road, Knutsford, Cheshire has introduced a load safety hook for flat bed lorries.

It has been so designed that the end fitting will not slip off if tension is accidentally released.

Each hook is rated at three tonnes and the maker claims that it meets the strength requirements of the Department of Transport's Code of Practice.

It is suitable for four, six and eight cylinder engines and is designated ET601. It features a 146mm (53/41n) dial and its range of functions includes dwell angle, voltmeter, points indicator and ammeter. No mains supply is required.
