Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

diesel engine (CM January 7), you make a statement to the effect that the pre-combustion chamber is just above the inlet valve on the illustration.

It has been my experience in the past that the inlet valve is the larger of the two valves. As this is a new design in the way of Ford diesels, could you verify the fact that the inlet valve is in fact the smaller on this particular engine?

AYou are, of course, correct — the smaller valve is the outlet valve.
