LAST year a schedule of fares for private hire was agreed by all the operators in Barrow, Dalton and Ulverston, and accepted by the NorthWestern Traffic Commissioners. One of the operators has now decided to apply for reduced charges, some of which would affect the joint service of the Ribble Motor Services, Ltd., and Barrow Corporation. The corporation is objecting to the application.
