Training move The Vehicle Inspectorate is to switch its HGV and PSV Inspection Standards and Procedures training courses to The Birmingham Test Station at Garretts Green. Subjects covered on the three-day course include the testable items on a vehicle, pass/fail criteria, inspection procedures, operation of test equipment and possible courses of action when a defect is identified. The five-day course adds participation in routines of inspection and correct use of equipment. Courses are also run in Bristol, London, Manchester and Scotland. Contact 0117 954 3310.
