Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

COUNTRY-WIDE appreciation of the lectures on costing given . by S.T.R., The Commercial Motor consultant on transport economics, is being expressed as a result of the meetings convened by the various associations for the education of goods and passenger-vehicle operators.

The success of S.T.R.'s lecture tour in Yorkshire, last week, was such that he was immediately urged to set aside a week of next month to address meetings in Grimsby, Doncaster, Skipton, Middlesbrough and Hull. This request was . made by the C.M.U.A., under the auspices of which last week's programme was carried out. During this tour, the attendances at S.T.R.'s lectures were bigger than ever before.

Up to yesterday, S.T.R. had delivered 17 addresses and to-night, at the Midland Hotel, Wellingborough, at 7.45 p.m., under the auspices of A.R.O., he will give his 18th lecture.

Operators should make a careful note of the following arrangements for lectures by The Commercial Motor costs expert:—January 20, Palmer Hall, West Street, Reading, 8 p.m., under the auspices of A.R.O.; January 22, 1, Wincheap, Canterbury, 7 p.ra. (A.R.0.); January 28, London, at a place and date yet to be decided by the Eastern Sub-area of A.R.O. Metropolitan Area; January 30, Royal Hotel, Cardiff, 6.30 p.m. (Motor Omnibus Proprietors Association, South Wales and Mon.); February 10, Crown Hotel, Slough, 8 _p.m. (A.R.0.).

Many operators throughout the country consider that, along with our tirade against injustice to drivers, the lecture tour organized by The Commercial Motor is the most praiseworthy campaign ever instigated in the interests of the road-transport industry.
