the design and building of a £42m cold store complex on the outskirts of Teheran.
The store is the second to be supervised by the men from the NFC in the area. They were also responsible for the building of a store close to the new contract.
Private interests which recently formed the General Warehousing Company have awarded the contract for the complex, which will have a capacity of around 60,000 tons of food when it is complete.
Expansion in the cold store field in Iran follows a move by the Shah of Iran to cut waste of food in his country. Up to 50 per cent of all food in Iran is wasted because of the heat.
An NFC spokesman told CM that the corporation was delighted to have won the' contract.
