Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Drawlane subsidiary North Western is to close its Skelhome Street, Liverpool, two-level bus station next month. National Express, which uses the top deck, has been given notice, but no decision has yet been made where its new terminal point will be.

NW's move completes its withdrawal from Liverpool bus stations begun when Merseyside PTE introduced departure charges. Routes from Pier Head, Paradise Street and Bootle were relocated, followed by routes from Crosby. The Skelhome Street depot, built in 1960, is next to Lime Street British Rail station and is likely to command a high site price. Garaging there was vacated early in the year, when NW's Love Lane garage was opened, and its services from the lower deck will be relocated to street bus stops.
