THE VOLVO F7 with the TD 70F charge-cooled engine is th first vehicle to better 8mpg over our new Scottish test route Charge-cooling boosts the power output of the 6.7-litre Voll engine from 150kW (202 bhp) to 167 kW (224 bhp) which dramatically improves performance at 32 tons gross as well improving fuel economy.
On our recent trial we found room for further improveme to the F86 replacement but most of our criticisms are minor The test report appears in the August 24 issue of CM.
