Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The Cornwall County Commit have applied under the provisions of Section 8 of the Motor Car Act of 1903 to the Local Government Board to close Coombs Read, Redruth, to heavy motor traffic. An inspection was made on Thursday last by the chairman of the Commercial Motor Users Association and representatives of local users, with a view to deciding upon a course of action.

The Tapp Petrol Pourer.

A useful little device for overcoming the difficulty usually experienced when pouring petrol from two-gallon tins is being marketed by Brown Bros., Ltd. It is called the Tapp petrol pourer. • It is made of stout tin in the shape of two cones with their bases together. At one end is a cork tapered to fit tightly in the orifice of the can and at the other a plain exit pipe for the petrol. Between the cones is fixed a gauze strainer, and a small-bore tube passes through the latter into the interior of the can; the other end of this tube projects through the pourer' so that it can be closed by a finger. To use the device, it is fitted into a full can a finger is placed over the small tube and the can canted over.. On the finger being removed, the petrol will flow from the exit tube, but it will stop if the small tube be again covered by a finger.

A Peace Reunion.

A dinner was recently given by Mr. and Mrs. Ross Kilner to members of the staff of the Kilner Repair Works in cele bration of Victory year. Each of the guests was presented with a smart souvenir card In pictorial form, containing on one side a photograph of the four members who kept the " wheels turnjog' whilst the others members were mobilized ; another photograph on the other side shows the present-day staff, some of whom are demobilized and the others partly demobilized. It will be remembered that during the war this concern turned out a number of gas bags for use on commercial. motor vehicles, and considering the small number of the staff which they had during the years 1917 and 1918 it is surprising how much work was accomplished.
