An Increase in the Number of South Wales Operators Running Services into England has Lately Become Apparent.

FROM centres in South Wales there has recently been a considerable ex, tension of long-distance passenger motor services into England, and these new facilities are to continue throughoutthe winter months. The latest of these Welsh-English services is that to be instituted by Messrs. Jones Bros., North Parade, Aberystwyth, who intend to run an Aberystwyth-to-London coach

service. Coaches will leave London and Aberystwyth simultaneously on Tuesdays and Fridays. The route from ' Aberystwyth is to be via Rhayader, Evesham, Worcester and Oxford, the London terminus being in the neighbourhood of Victoria. The single journey fare will be 20s. and the return fare ais., the return ' tickets being available for three mouths from the date of issue.

Another recently instituted coach service to London is that run from Cardiff by the Rural England' Co. and Messrs. Bed and White Saloon Coaches. This service is run daily including Sundays, and the fares are 15s. single and 25s. return. The coaches start from Kingsway, Cardiff, at 10 a.m, and arrive at the London terminus at 5.40 p.m. Departures from London are made at noon and the arrival at Cardiff is timed for 8.15 p.m. Liberty Motors, Ltd., Kingsway, Cardiff, and Messrs. Gough's Garages, Cardiff, are booking agents for this service.

Daily Cardiff-to-London services are also run by Cook's Safety Coaches, Ltd., the route being via Monmouth, Gloucester, Cheltenham and Oxford. Cardiff is left at 9 a.m. and Loudon is reached at 6.30 p.m. The Cardiff booking offices of the company are at 1, Wood Street, Cardiff. Fares are 35s. single and 28s. return.

Yet another service of this kind is that operated daily from Cardiff to Birmingham, via Newport, by Messrs. Fishers, 6a, Clarence Place, Newport, whose Cardiff agents are Cardiff Motor Coach Tours, 1, Wood Street, and Messrs. Chick's Garages, Rawden Place. The times of departures from Cardiff are 9 a.m. and 5.15 p.m. on week-days, and 10 a.m. and 5.15 p.m. on Sundays, the Birmingham departures being made simultaneously with those from Cardiff. The fares from Cardiff are 10s. single and 16s. 6d. return, and from Newport 9s, single and 15s. return. This firm also run daily services from Newport to London.

In all cases the coaches have special heating arrangements and rugs are available for the use of passengers.
