• Five drivers employed by Henry Long Transport were ordered to pay fines and costs totalling £1,019, after admitting a series of drivers' hours offences before the Bradford Magistrates.

Prosecuting for the North Eastern Traffic Area, senior traffic examiner Bryan Walscher said that all the drivers concerned were employed on the company's international operations. The drivers' hours rules were very complex, especially in overseas work.

Richard Lee, of Bradford, was fined £200, with £15 costs, after admitting three 41/2 hour driving offences; and Ronald Wilson, also of Bradford, was fined £50, with 215 costs, after admitting a similar offence.
