• A bankruptcy petition has been filed by Cedar Travel owner Chris Chatfield.
The Worthing-based minibus firm has been running services since 1986 but over the past few months has handed over most of its routes to Stagecoach-owned Southdown, following an all-out battle for survival. Cedar Travel is expected to continue trading, headed by its former traffic manager.
At the same time, Brighton Buses has won two county council tendered routes from Cedarbus, the Southdown unit running former Cedar Travel routes.
