Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

NOEL MILLIER'S article headed "Cumulo nimble bus" (CM, October 5) , refers to the Volvo City Bus, being used by London Regional Transport, as having a main chassis frame modified to accommodate Ogle's new split-step design. The photograph accompanying the article refers to the Volvo City Bus undefframe being specially modified to allow for the fitting Of the Ogle-inspired London Bus split-step arrangement.

This split step has been a feature of the standard specification of South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive buses for a period which commenced long before Ogle undertook this design project.
