Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AMONG new models at the Public Works Exhibition, which opened at Olympia, London, on Monday, is a mobile shovel known as the Power Handle, made by Power Handling, Ltd., Castlefield Works, Bingley, Yorks.

The prototype was described in The Commercial Motor on May 11. The latest version incorporates a redesigned bucket linkage. Rear-end steering is employed and the turntable which carries the telescopic gear and bucket linkage is ounted directly over the driving wheels. The turntable can be swivelled through 190% which obviates a large number of vehicle movements when loading.

The bucket linkage is operated by twin hydraulic rams which are capable A raising the bucket to discharge from a height of 11 ft. 9 in. The bucket may be tilted to any angle required for ;cooping or discharging, through the action of a single hydraulic ram, which s now mounted between the main rams and operates through a bell crank lever. A.15-cwt. oil-engined dumper with a kip having alternative " up " positions s exhibited by the Liner Concrete Vfachinery Co., Ltd., Park Road, 3ateshead. The skip may be placed with its top edge horizontal, when the 'till capacity of 15 cwt. is obtainable, ait may be secured with the top edge loping down slightly to give ease of ccess under low concrete mixers.

A new 1-cu.-yd. dumper with nechanical transmission is being shown iy Bates Bros. (Engineers). Ltd., Shady -ane, Baguley, Wythenshawe, Manthester, 23. It is powered by a Petter wo-cylindered air-cooled oil engine [riving through a Constant-mesh gear)cox with three forward speeds and one everse.
