• by Kevin Swallow South Yorkshire-based family business AE Wilson and Sons will deliver roof tiles on a local contract with a six-wheel prime mover and triaxle trailer plated at 44 tonnes.
The drawbar rig has a custom-built body design Wilsons manufactured and fitted, with help from Peter Wraith Trailers which built the trailer chassis.
The Daf CF85 6x4 prime mover has a 12.6-litre Daf 428hp engine with air suspension on the rear bogie. A Palfinger 10.5m crane Is fitted behind the cab: the trailer features a rearsteer axle and a front lift axle. Payload is 29.5 tonnes.
