• Lorry drivers involved in the 45-vehicle M4 crash in March could face prosecution following checks by police scientists.
Tachographs ha,ve been closely analysed to determine the drivers' hours and the impact speed of vehicles involved in the incident. Thames Valley Police says its investigation has been completed and a report will be sent to the Crown Prosecution Service this week, with police recommendations.
Once the CPS has studied the report it will decide whether to prosecute drivers.
Seven people died in the crash which media reports initially blamed on a truck carrying propane gas. However, police accident investigators found no evidence to support this.
