THE shareholders of the employee-owned National Freight Consortium plc have chosen Mr Harry Batty, 53, of Westbury-onTrym, Bristol to represent them as a "shareholder director" on the main board of the company.
He will serve initially for two years and will receive the same basic fees as the other nonexecutive directors.

He subsequently held a number of clerical and management posts as he progressed through the company, among them managing director of the successful Fashionflow company, with which he was associated from its formation.
During his career he rved in Bristol, Cardiff, London, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Nottingham • and the West Midlands. Harry Batty is married, with one daughter.
