• Crosville Motor Company is to introduce new and faster coach services between Merseyside and London. Opening of the Midlands motorway link has speeded up the firm's timings to such an extent that it is now offering a day-return ticket from Liverpool to London, giving time for an afternoon's shopping in the capital.
A new service will link Chester and Ellesmere Port directly with London, the journey from Chester taking four and a half hours. Liverpool to London day return fares will be £2.50. Normal return fare is £3.40.
