'THE Greater London Council will shortly -Iopen discussions with the London Transport Board on the possibility of relating traffic management measures more closely to the development of public transport facilities—especially the extent to which such measures would enable London Transport to provide better overall services.

This has been agreed as a result of talks between the Minister of Transport, the Leader of the GLC and Mr. Maurice Holmes, chairman of LTB. These talks followed the Minister's statement last month that the possibility of more extensive traffic management measures would be included in an examination of the conditions under which London Transport operated.
