Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Transport Development Group has bought French dry bulk goods haulier Blazy and is to merge it with TDG Innocenti.

Blazy, which employs 90 staff at depots in Toulouse, Port-La-Nouvelle and Foix and operates 120 vehicles, will now be known as TDG Blazy. No job losses are planned as a result of the deal.

TDG has made no secret of its plans to expand its interests on the Continent; it has acquired Blazy to become Innocenti's bulk powder arm—Innocenti has traditionally specialised in liquid tanker movements.

TDG is planning further expansion in France so more purchases can be expected.
