Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

crane swings

THE first Primrose Trans-Hand 1-ton swingbeam side-loader gantry crane to go into operational service has been delivered by P.T.H. (Clitheroe) Ltd, of the Primrose Group, to Holburn Transport Ltd, of Trafford Park, Manchester.

The swingbeam side-loader is a mobile gantry crane which straddles the vehicle platform so that no load space is wasted. The gantry carries an outrigger beam which can be rotated under power to pick up or set down loads on either side or at the rear of the vehicle.

All crane motions are electro-hydraulically controlled via a hand-held unit at the end of a wander lead.

For the Holburn Transport application, the platform body was also built by PTH on a chassis supplied by Lex Tillotson of Burnley. To ensure complete access to the front of the platform, the body siderails supporting the gantry rollers have been extended 0.58m (lft 11in) in front of the 1.14m (3ft 9in) high headboard.
