• A Transportel, a seven-acre protected parking centre for haulage operators with a full range of ancillary services, is now under construction at Perth. It is being sponsored by Angus Milling Co Ltd, of ICirriemuir, and Perth town council, with oil trade participation. Total investment will be £500,000. There will be hostel accommodation for 70 drivers, restaurant and cafeteria, sleeping facilities, a garage, filling station and repair service.
